"Axial" Wall Sconces

The Axial sconce conveys a strong modern design defined by balance and equilibrium. Axial features two bowl-shaped shades fabricated of spun metal mesh, tilted at an angle, mimicking the axial tilt of the planets in orbit. It pays homage to the midcentury lighting designs of Mathieu Mategot, breathing new life into his signature medium of Rigitulle; perforated metal. Priced as pair.

This piece may be hardwired for use with a light switch or made with a cord and plug with a toggle switch if hard wiring is not desired. Please specify when ordering.

Striking design scaled to work well flanking a doorway in a foyer, behind a bar, around a breakfast nook, or as a luxe addition to a master suite, nursery, or glam room. Perfect for brightening up a forlorn corner! Particularly impactful in groupings or in pairs, but enough of a statement piece to stand alone.

Enamel color may be specified. Standard enamel colors are shown in the final image. There is no additional lead time or cost for these colors and they may all be produced in satin or high gloss finishes. You may also specify nearly anything in the RAL color chart.

This piece is also fully customizable with 9 - 10 week lead time. The frame can be made in any metal finish including antique, brushed or mirrored brass, mirrored or brushed nickel, blackened steel, brushed copper, mirrored copper (rose gold), etc.

Uses two (2) bulbs and may use any E26 base bulb up to 60 watts (or use LED). G25 globe bulbs are recommended for this design. Bulbs are not included.
